Phoenix

We experienced jury selection in an Arizona court this week. I’m assuming since you’re reading this, you have been following this case. So, I won’t rehash all the reporting. I will give you some of my own observations.

Jury selection went much quicker than in Idaho. In one way, it was more efficient and in another way I wonder if it was selective enough. I guess we’ll see.

Lori really had very little to do with who is on the jury. It’s 13 men and 3 women just by chance. Still, I’m betting Lori is happy about that. She doesn’t seem to realize that her feminine wiles left her a long time ago. She is in no way attractive or alluring. Her attempts to manipulate people no longer work, I think even for those who have no idea who she is and what she is convicted of.

No one can predict what the next few weeks will bring. The assumption is that we will go through a trial. The prosecution will present their case. Lori will contest what they present. Then she will offer her defense. She will be convicted finally for being the force behind the cruel and heartless murder of a good man. She will live out the rest of her days in prison in Idaho.

I’m beginning to wonder if that’s actually how this will go. I’m seeing cracks in Lori’s ability to cope with it all. I think it’s ironic. She talks a lot about demons entering people’s bodies. I think the real demons, the demons we create for ourselves, the demons we suffer when we feel guilty, are beginning to finally take over Lori’s mind. I wonder what the outcome of that will be. Will she falter in court and just give up? I can imagine how that will go. She would tell the judge that she is a victim of the system and it’s hopeless so she is not offering a defense.

The other even more grim possibility is that she will say or at least imagine that her Jesus is calling her home. Her work on earth is done. There is nothing more she needs to do on this earth for him. I hope the Maricopa County Sheriffs are watching her closely. We’ve seem plenty of people end their lives in their prison cell.

So, stay tuned. Continue to watch all of the really good coverage on the news and podcasts. You can find me on a lot of it. It’s been awesome for me to catch up in person to a lot of the good friends I have made in the media.

Book 2; Chad Daybell, The One Mighty And Strong is available now on Amazon. It’s selling very well so far and I thank you all for that.

Book 3 is in the works. It will be the culmination of more than 2 years of my life. My sincere hope is that it finally answers the question of How Lori could commit the crimes she committed.
